Panelists:
Gloria Carlbert, CCRC - In May 2007, I graduated from Manatee Technical Institute with my Medical Assistant Certificate and became a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA)  shortly thereafter. I remain actively involved with the American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA), where I continue to pursue ongoing education and professional development. I began my career at Lakewood Ranch Urgent Care, where I spent 10 years growing from a CMA into a Clinical Office Manager. During that time, I played a key role in expanding operations, assisting in the successful opening of three additional urgent care centers and ultimately overseeing clinical operations across four locations. Following a hospital acquisition in 2017, I transitioned into primary care at Cooper Family Medical, where I spent four years broadening my clinical experience and deepening my patient care expertise. In April 2021, I entered the field of clinical research at Bradenton Research Center—a decision that would shape the next chapter of my career. Within two years, I advanced to Lead Clinical Research Coordinator, and today, I serve as Site Director. Most recently, I achieved my Certified Clinical Research Coordinator (CCRC) certification, further strengthening my commitment to excellence and regulatory rigor in clinical research. My passion for clinical research has grown far beyond what I ever anticipated. I am honored to lead a dedicated team and contribute to the advancement of medicine through the successful execution of numerous clinical trials.

Charita Braker, CPM, MDP - As Manager of Clinical Research Education at HCA Healthcare, I focus on designing and delivering comprehensive training programs that enhance the skills and expertise of clinical research professionals. With certifications as a Certified Clinical Research Coordinator (CCRC), Medical Device Professional (MDP), Project Manager (PM), and a Registered Nurse (RN, BSN), I develop educational resources tailored to the complexities of clinical trial execution, including device, drug, registry, and decentralized trials.
With over ten years of clinical research experience, including roles as Clinical Research Educator and Clinical Research Nurse, I have built a strong foundation in clinical trial management, medical chart review, and operational excellence. I am committed to fostering growth within the clinical research community and empowering teams to excel in their roles. My professional mission is to create meaningful learning experiences that leave a lasting and positive impact on those I serve.

Lee Andrzejewski, CRA – Lee holds a Bachelor’s degree from the University of Minnesota College of Biological Sciences. He has been a CRA since 2012. Lee recently relocated to middle Tennessee and is looking for his next opportunity, but joins us virtually to lend his passionate perspective on the value of ACRP Certification.

Dr. Tami Zemzars, MD, CPI- Dr.Zemzars principal investigator at Cliantha Research in St.Petersburg. Cliantha is a multinational pharmaceutical and consumer health product
research organization with operations in India, Canada, and the USA. Dr. Zemzars has

trials for a variety of corporate sponsors, with 7 active trials and 50 completed trials. She
leads a clinical team focused on the conduct of safety and pharmacovigilance trials for
the generic drug industry. Dr. Zemzars was previously involved in preclinical research
with the US Army before becoming a physician. She holds a Doctor of Medicine from
the University of Texas Long School of Medicine and a Bachelor of Science in Biological Science. Current interests are expanding clinical research skills, public health, and data analytics.
