Subject Privacy and Confidentiality in Clinical Research

Program Description: This presentation will focus on subject privacy and confidentiality in clinical research. A summary will be provided regarding regulatory and GCP requirements. Certificates of Confidentiality and the 21st Century Cures Act will also be defined, and their applicability discussed.

Upon completion of this presentation, attendees should be able to:
  • Understand regulatory and GCP background for respecting privacy and preserving confidentiality of research subjects
  • Understand changes in the 21st Century Cures Act for protection of privacy for research subjects
  • Understand how Certificates of Confidentiality impact clinical research
