IMPORTANCE OF INCREASING DIVERSITY IN CLINICAL TRIALS - MINORITY AND UNDERSERVED COMMUNITIES: RECRUITMENT & PEOPLE OF SUB-SAHARAN AFRICAN DESCENT
The under-representation of racial & ethnic minority and marginalized populations in clinical research has recently received considerable attention. However, the participation of these populations in clinical trials recruitment is still minimally low. Their inclusion, representation, and involvement in clinical health research are critical in addressing health disparities and advancing health equity. Assess how to connect and develop authentic engagement strategies with underserved communities to improve your recruitment outreach campaign and impact your ROI. In addition, obtain a better understanding of how to recruit in underserved communities to expand the generalizability of the research findings to produce medicines and medical interventions that are safe, efficient, ethical, and equitable for all people.
