Program Description
When working together, Finance and Clinical Operations/Development often seem to come from different planets. Lack of mutual understanding, trust, and communication often result in an adversarial rather than collaborative relationship. This in turn leads to significant inefficiencies and anguish when it comes to finance-driven activities such as budgeting, forecasting and accruals.

This presentation will explore common factors that contribute to this disharmony, as well as possible solutions that may effectively mitigate these frictions and lead to happier, more productive partnerships. Specific focus will be devoted towards discussing ways to improve the accuracy and efficiency of the clinical trials budgeting process, and how to collaboratively generate budgets, forecasts, and accruals as painlessly as possible.
