Program Description: Cancer therapy is a continually evolving and vital research field, with cancer being a leading cause of morbidity and mortality. This program offers an overview of light-dependent, antibody-based, targeted interventions for the diagnosis and treatment of cancers.

Upon completion of this Seminar, attendees should be able to:

  • Understand what PDT and PIT are and how they alleviate systemic cytotoxic therapy (ex: chemotherapy) side effects.
  • Highlight the difference and potential advantage of SNAP-tag based antibody fusion protein advantage against current state of the art.
  • Understand the clinical benefits of targeted photo-immunotherapy.
