Program Description: Informed consent is foundational to protecting research subjects’ rights and welfare, but often consent documents are not written in patient-friendly language. Jackie Foster, an expert in patient education and Senior Manager of Be The Match Jason Carter Clinical Trials Search & Support (CTSS), will discuss best practices for designing a patient-friendly consent process.

2. Implement best practices for writing patient-friendly consent forms
3. Identify strategies for a more patient-friendly consent process
