Program Description: This session is designed to teach researchers how to convert their recently presented poster into a manuscript suitable for submission to a peer-reviewed journal. We will cover: choosing a journal, finding and using reporting standards (e.g., CONSORT), and structuring the manuscript according to International Committee of Medical Journal Editors (ICMJE) recommendations (i.e., Introduction, Methods, Results, and Discussion).
Upon completion of this Seminar, attendees should be able to:
- Select an appropriate journal
- Locate reporting standards relevant to their study type
- Compose a manuscript based on the applicable reporting standard
- Organize a manuscript according to ICMJE guidelines
