Event Description:
Join us for the Gulf States Chapter's first event for 2026! We're bringing AI to our chapter members in a different light with this special Clinical Trials Day celebration hybrid event in collaboration with Bond Health! 
 
The event will take place in person at the Tulane School of Public Health and Tropical Medicine (members attending will be reimbursed for parking) and will also be virtual via Zoom! Food, refreshments, and free swag will be available for in-person attendees!
This event is open to everyone (current members, other chapter members, ACRP members, and non-ACRP members are welcome to attend!)

Speaker:
Sammy Mustafa, BS, MS
Sammy is the co-founder and CIO of Bond Health. Sammy completed his master’s degree in Biomedical Informatics at Harvard Medical School. He was an AI researcher at Mass General Hospital for 3+ years, and has a deep expertise in working with real-world clinical data. He worked as a Biotechnology Regulatory Fellow through the National Academies, where he supports the FDA in developing emerging biotechnology policy.
 
Learning Objectives:
  1. Identify common barriers that contribute to under-enrollment in clinical trials.
  2. Describe how AI-enabled tools can support recruitment workflows through EHR screening, patient pre-screening, scheduling, and informed consent support.
  3. Evaluate practical strategies for combining AI-supported recruitment workflows with community-based engagement, including partnerships with local clinics, physicians, faith-based organizations, advocacy groups, and community leaders.

The educational portion of this event may be self-reported as 1.5 points toward an attendee’s Maintenance of Certification. These points are subject to review and acceptance by the Academy of Clinical Research Professionals in accordance with the criteria established. The Chapter can provide a certificate of attendance upon request.
