When:  Thu, Sep 17, 2026 from 12:30 PM to 01:30 PM (ET)
NY Metro Chapter: September 2026 Virtual Book Club - Profits Over Patients: How Johnson & Johnson Concealed Data, Corrupted Science, and Harmed Millions

Event Description:
Join the ACRP New York Metropolitan Chapter for a virtual book club discussion of No More Tears: The Dark Secrets of Johnson & Johnson by NYT investigative journalist Gardiner Harris. This one-hour moderated panel will explore the book's documented findings — from concealed asbestos data in baby powder, to a cancer drug that promoted tumor growth, to opioid marketing that rivaled Purdue Pharma — and what they mean for those of us working to uphold research ethics and patient protections every day. Attendees are encouraged to read the book prior to the event. The book is lengthy and those interested should begin reading as soon as feasibly possible. This program offers 1 CEU.
