Program Description
This program identifies the required training and best practices for working in the UFHCC CRO laboratories and provides guidance, best practices, tips for success and resources for working with biomedical waste.

Learning Objectives
  • List routine lab maintenance tasks
  • Identify and define biomedical waste (BMW) handled in the research lab
  • Differentiate between Sharps, General BMW and Clean Lab Ware, and describe appropriate handling, storage and disposal of each.
  • Locate internal reference documents providing guidance for laboratory procedures
  • Identify resources for assistance and additional information
