Fall Symposium Registration Fees & Costs for 4 contact hours: The cost for attending the Fall Symposium is $40. Current UNTHSC Clinical Research Management students may attend for no cost, must provide verification of their affiliation.

To receive contact hours: Register for the course through the ACRP website either prior to attending or at the registration desk before the event. Sign in at the registration desk, attend the entire and complete an evaluation in person upon the conclusion of the presentation. There is no charge for contact hours.

Nursing Continuing Education: Provider approved by the California Board of Registered Nursing, Provider Number CEP16767, for 4.0 contact hours.

This session is designed to inform participants about infectious diseases and research.

Upon Completion of this program, participants should be able to:

  1. Comprehend the molecular pattern of process, analyze homeostatic imbalance and evaluate the means by which pathogens evade the host immune system and therapeutics.
  2. Discuss of QI, QI Research, and Clinical Research in medicine, health care, and public policy and differentiate activities along the spectrum of quality improvement and research in order to seek necessary regulatory approval for any project.
  3. Describe basic principles of dealing with emerging infectious diseases and the process for vaccines and treatments.
