Program Description:

Since the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic, there have been over 34 million COVID-19 cases and over 600,000 deaths in the US. Scientists began designing clinical trials to find vaccines and treatments soon after the SARS-CoV-2 was identified in January 2020. The pace of these trials has been unprecedented, resulting in multiple vaccines and treatments currently being used. Join us to learn more about how these pharmaceuticals were developed, and the impact they are having in combating the disease.

Upon completion of this program, attendees will have an understanding of:

  1. how previous technologies, such as mRNA vaccines, were integral in the rapid development of vaccines for COVID-19.

  2. the protocol design and results of the various vaccines that have been authorized for use.

  3. the types of therapies being developed to treat the symptoms of COVID-19.
