Northern California Chapter: Representation in Clinical Research

 
Event Description:
This fireside chat will explore practical approaches to improving representation in clinical research and the clinical research workforce. Panelists will discuss successful strategies, lessons learned, myths and misconceptions, and how organizations can continue advancing representation efforts in a changing regulatory environment.
 
A 30-minute optional networking session will follow the formal program to allow attendees to continue discussions and connect with speakers and peers.

 Learning Objectives:
The session will focus on representation in clinical trials, including the following key topics:
  1. Improving representative participation in clinical trials
  2. Inclusion within the clinical research workforce
  3. Sustaining progress in a changing environment
  4. Bioethical considerations related to representation in research

The educational portion of this event may be self-reported as 1 point toward an attendee’s Maintenance of Certification. These points are subject to review and acceptance by the Academy of Clinical Research Professionals in accordance with the criteria established. Attendees should keep a record of event participation in case they are randomly selected to participate in the maintenance verification process. The Chapter can provide a certificate of attendance upon request.
