West Virginia Chapter: Review of Quality Control for Clinical Trial Data with Case Studies 

Event Description:
This session will review quality management and quality principles. Attendees will be given the opportunity to review case studies to search for issues that require correcting.

  • Renee Clark, Senior Quality Assurance Coordinator, WVCTSI Clinical Trials Center of Excellence,
  • Anne Oravets, Compliance and Remediation Coordinator, WVCTSI Clinical Trials Center of Excellence 

Learning Objectives:

  1. Identify quality control principles and good documentation practices as it relates to clinical trials.
  2. Demonstrate the appropriate way to record research data and how to make corrections to data on paper and electronic documents.
  3. Identify documentation issues and determine how to correct/prevent similar issues.
  4. Explore ways to utilize quality control practices to ensure human subject protection and reliability of trial results.
