Bio: Carol Elliott, an ASCP-certified cytogenetic technologist, has worked in clinical laboratories and clinical research for more than 30 years: specifically, regulatory management of oncology clinical trials, biobank management, and certification requirements for biorepositories. For the last 4 years, she has primarily focused her career efforts on biorepository science and regulations initially at Duke University and, more recently, at Dignity Health in Phoenix. She holds an MS in Clinical Research from Campbell University and a BS in Biology from the University of New Mexico. She currently serves as the Biobank Core Facility Manager at St. Joseph’s Hospital and Medical Center and is a member of the ASCP working group for biobank credentialing.
