Virginia Chapter: Operationalizing Translational Research - Developing Research Ideas into Clinical Trials

Event Description:
In Virginia, investigator-initiated clinical trials are a significant part of the research landscape, particularly in areas like cancer research. VA.gov Home | Veterans Affairs has a program called the IIR (Investigator Initiated Research) program that supports these trials across various topics. Several institutions in Virginia, like University of Virginia School of Medicine, VCU Massey Comprehensive Cancer Center, and Eastern Virginia Medical School, actively conduct and support investigator-initiated trials. These trials often focus on new treatments, medications, and devices for various diseases.

Join our monthly session to learn more regarding the lifecycle of investigator-initiated trials.
