Event Description:
Come and join the WNY ACRP Chapter in discovering what happens behind the curtains of a clinical research materials service unit (CMSU) and why they are so crucial to both large academic research centers as well as small single sites. 
 
Our speakers, Eileen Fannon and Mark Christopher from the Clinical Materials Service Unit (CMSU) https://lnkd.in/g5QRi9p8 from the University of Rochester Center for Health + Technology (UR CHeT) https://lnkd.in/gge2zdyh, will provide an understanding of comprehensive clinical trial supply management and real-world practices, including:
- Secondary packaging and labeling of clinical trial materials (drugs and devices)
- Storage options (room temperature and 2-8ºC)
- Clinical supply chain strategy and management
- Package development, integrity, and performance testing
- Distribution services/strategies (including cold chain)
- Returns management and destruction
- Label design and printing (21 CFR Part 11 compliant)
 
Keep an eye out for a part 2 of this event! We will be able to have about 10 lucky people to come for an in-person tour of the facility in Rochester, NY.
