What's it like to live and work in Portland, OR?

My husband and I are contemplating a move to Portland, OR, what is it like to live in Portland OR?  Is the job market good for clinical research or hospital administration?  Thoughts? Comments? Favorite places to visit, eat, shop?

Hi Barry,
Thank you for the offer, we are here and so far love it! Looking for work so any thoughts regarding good research organizations would be awesome. Just for fun I would love to know your favorite breakfast place, and your favorite hike. How do you like ACRP? I find that there is a tremendous amount of knowledge in the various forums and I enjoy sharing my own insight with others.

Hi Olivia, I just joined ACRP yesterday, so this is my first time on the blogs. I used to live in Portland (and just visited last weekend), so have some thoughts if you're still interested. Cheers.
