Average wages

By Kristina Cleveland posted 05-04-2010 01:07 PM

I was wondering the same thing. As a Research Manager and Study Coordinator I have found a very large variance in the amount asked for per hour. I was wondering if there was a site where I could find the average wage per hour of a CRC with and without certification. It is hard to find someone willing to say what they pay their coordinators per hour but I would like to be fair in what we offer new applicants.
Thanks,

Hi Kristina,
I have lived and worked all across the nation and even in Hawaii. I would say from experience that a non-nurse CRC would usually make $15-$20 per hour. A certified and experienced research coordinator who is not a nurse, generally $18-$28 per hour and a nurse coordinator who is certified, $25-$30 per hour. These are the averages that I have personally seen based on experience and certification. Hope you find this helpful. Of note, the Northeastern part of the country tends to have higher wages due to the high cost of living. Florida tends to have low wages vs the high cost of living.

Kristina,
Our CRC's make between $28-33/hour. They are RN's and CCRC's as well.

Hi Kristina, I am in Canada and our CRC are RPN's which is now a 2 year college diploma course as in 2005 we did away with our college RN courses and now only have RN degree programs. Neither of our RPN's are certified and they get $25 hour.
