Program Description: Conducting clinical trials have their challenges but when working in rare disease, many considerations are involved to make the trial go smoothly. From engaging your Patient Advocacy Organization to the fact there are limited number of patients available in the world, our presentation will give you some real examples in what considerations need to be considered when conducting a rare disease clinical trial.

Upon completion of this Presentation, attendees should be able to:
  • Identify questions that should be asked when working with Patient Advocacy Organizations (PAO)
  • List common challenges when conducting clinical trials with rare disease patients
  • Discuss decentralized operational functions including communications and study risk
