Program Description: This presentation will focus on the products, processes, and challenges clinical researchers encountered with the startup and conduct of interventional studies using cannabis products at the University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus.
Upon completion of this presentation, attendees should be able to:
- Describe the regulatory steps required for interventional studies with DEA schedule 1 products
- Understand reasons for delays
- Describe required infrastructure modifications
- Explain continuing challenges for clinical research
