Program Description: Please join the NY Metropolitan Chapter of ACRP as we explore the unique and complicated world of monitoring, auditing and inspections in the clinical research field. Whether you are new to the industry or a seasoned researcher, this session will address each piece of the monitoring and oversight process and will present an opportunity to learn from experts in the field.

Upon completion of this symposium, attendees should be able to:

  • Explain the importance of monitoring in the clinical research field.
  • Describe the difference between risk and remote based monitoring.
  • Demonstrate how to prepare for and respond to an audit or inspection.
  • Illustrate appropriate source documentation practices.
  • Recognize what PI oversight looks like and how to encourage it in your clinical research environment.

Target Audience: All clinical research professionals.
