Program Description: Join us for a presentation and discussion that will review the state of US Healthcare. The session will discuss quality, access, and cost and how each is entwined with the others. During the session, participants will review pre- and post- Affordable Care Act (ACA) impact and what the future may hold with the current administration. Ultimately, we will discuss how all this affects research now and what we may see affected in the future.

Upon completion of this Webinar, attendees should be able to:
  • Describe the Iron Triangle of Healthcare: quality, access, and, cost.
  • Review the cost quality, access, and cost of US healthcare pre and post the Affordable Care Act (ACA).
  • Describe some areas of US healthcare in need of attention: long term care; tort reform/defensive medicine; future of medical research; new medical devices and technology; regulating insurance costs and policies; covering the uninsured; and reducing complexity.
