Program Description: This presentation will discuss the upcoming changes to 45 CFR 46, regulations that govern human subjects research, the first major change to these regulations in 25 years. With such an unusual but major change taking place, it will be important for the research community to understand the potential impact of these changes on their human subjects research.
Upon completion of this Webinar, attendees should be able to:
- Obtain a basic understanding of the Common Rule and its oversight
- Understand the relevant changes that become effective in January 2018
- Be prepared to utilize these changes in new research
- Apply this knowledge as appropriate
