Program Description: This workshop is an introduction and review of being an investigator in a clinical trial designed to encourage interaction and discussion between investigators.  Other research professionals are welcome to participate in the discussion.

Upon completion of this Webinar, attendees should be able to:
  • Define GCP.
  • Apply Beneficence, Justice, and Respect of Persons.
  • Examine the Elements of Informed Consent.
  • Differentiate AEs and SAEs.
  • Learn the requirements for documenting and reporting AEs and SAEs.
  • Examine a Work Flow Process for Pending Items
  • Examine the concept of PI oversight.
  • Review the PI responsibilities outlined by the 1572.
  • Apply PI oversight to the clinical setting.
  • Assess the Benefits of being an Investigator in clinical research.
Target Audience: PI, Sub-I, CRC, Monitors, other clinical research professionals
