Program Description: Sponsors and CROs frequently utilize criteria such as “years of experience” for the selection of CRAs to monitor investigative sites during the conduct of clinical trials. These typical criteria have not been correlated to actual performance or effectiveness of CRAs, especially for newer Risk-Based industry monitoring approaches. Organizations feel challenged about the hiring of qualified CRAs for their projects. Executives suggest defining the CRA role of the future. Applicants for CRA roles are stymied by the currently uncorrelated requirements imposed by Sponsors for candidates.

This session will be a webinar using an interview style format that brings together the challenges heard with “out of the box” thinking proposed by the industry.

The outcome of this dialogue will be thought provoking discussions and solutions in addressing the key challenge.

Upon completion of this event, attendees should be able to:
  • Assess and appraise requirements and preparedness for Monitors/CRAs to meet performance requirements and qualifications for future industry expectations
  • Construct personal or organizational development plans for clinical trial Monitors/CRAs
  • Establish integrated approaches for the qualification and selection of Monitors/CRAs for clinical trial programs
