Program Description: Attendees of this event will have an opportunity to mingle with other research professionals in the area and take in what should be a great presentation by Dennis Owens, M.D., Ph.D. of Psychiatry Associates of Kansas City & Advanced Psychiatric Solutions of Kansas City.
Dennis will talk about Ketamine & TMS for the treatment of Depression. Event starts at 5:30pm. Food and non-alcoholic beverages will be provided by the ACRP board. Please bring ideas and questions!

  • Recognize the Public Health Burden and Therapeutic Challenges of Treatment Resistant Depression
  • Identify the limitations of the Monoamine Hypothesis for antidepressant development
  • Evaluate the off-label use of Ketamine for TRD
  • Recognize the growing interest in glutamate modulators as potential antidepressants.
  • Understand the role of Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS) in treating Major Depressive Disorder
